A Perfect Job Needs a Perfect Tool

In my corporate experience, leaders often ask about the differences between various psychometric profiling tools and their effectiveness. Before selecting a tool, I help them clarify their objectives: What are we trying to achieve? Different tools may be better suited for immediate team-building or long-term cultural strategies.
I was once tasked with building a Development Culture within the company, aiming to empower employees and demonstrate that management cares about their professional growth.
To create a sustainable development culture, I focused on establishing a common language that both managers and employees could understand. I chose to adopt the language of Strengths and began this journey with our People team. After gaining buy-in from the People Generalists, we piloted the approach within a business function, then expanded it to a country team, and eventually rolled it out across the organization.
This was a long-term commitment rather than a quick fix. To maintain momentum, we apply the tool in individual coaching, team collaboration, and manager development.
